Dixxon Flannel Announces Marketplace
Dixxon Flannel combats reselling of their products by launching their own marketplace, XX-Change, on June 27
Dixxon Flannel is one of my favorite clothing brands. Their donโt give a f*ck attitude, creative designs, collaborations, and limited runs of products makes them both intriguing and appealing.
In an email on June 21, the clothing brand addressed the reselling of their products with the announcement of the new Dixxon XX-Change program. The email read:
I received an email on June 24 with the subject line โDixxon XX-Change - List Now.โ The email detailed out the process for adding items to the marketplace.
There is a website theyโve set up for buyers, sellers, and those interested in learning more. Here are a few things to note:
Dixxon has partnered with treet for this new reselling marketplace/platform. treet boasts that it is a โdream resale programโ that can be launched with ease.
Shipping costs are put on the buyer. The seller will receive a prepaid shipping label when an item has sold.
Sellers receive 100% of profit if they use in-store credit. If they opt for the cash out option, Dixxon/treet will take 20%.
Earlier today, June 26, I received a โlast callโ email for listing from Dixxon with reassurance that people can buy and sell with confidence, receive cash or in-store credit for items, and participate in a community of like-minded people.
Dixxon XX-Change โlaunchesโ June 27, 2024.
Seeing a company do this is new to me as both a consumer and a reseller. Iโm wondering if this is going to be a temporary trend or the future with brands looking to combat reselling of their products.
What do you think? Is this a good move for Dixxon? Will other companies follow suit?
